We are so pleased to introduce our January health personality,  Rebecca Neale from Food Fitness and Wellness.

We love Rebecca's ethos on food...." not all calories are not the same, foods can really enhance moods, help you sleep, give you energy and make you glow (like rays of sunshine!).  The food we consume can be our medicine or our poison."

She helps her clients approach health issues relating to bad digestion, gut health, hormonal problems, sleep, PCOS, weight loss, depression, anxiety and eating disorders.

Rebecca's purpose is to share her passion and encourage people to enjoy a healthier, happier more balanced life.

1) Tell us a bit about how you ended up doing what you’re doing

Well it wasn’t till I went through a really challenging time that I found the holistic and wellness side to my business. Through this time I started to really understand how food was truly ones medicine or poison and how what you ate could help you heal so many different things.

As for fitness and coaching clients, I sort of fell into that, I started helping people around me just for fun and realized how passionate I was about the results I was getting people, and how it was changing their lives for the better all just by me giving them advice and writing them programs. So I quit my events/tv job and studied as much as I could to be able to start my own business and it feels like the rest is history.

 2) How do you encourage people to STAY on the  health journey road instead of falling off the  bandwagon

I think accountability, motivation and inspiration all have  an equal part to play. But the most important thing I believe is to teach people the practical tools they can implement in their daily lives to help them stay on track and getting the results they are wanting.

  3) What makes you unique? Tell us a little about        your     personality traits.  Here you can                    comfortably outline  your strengths and                    vulnerable areas.

I feel like I have always been the sort of person who     no   matter who it is or what it is in relation to - I           am always  just me.

Real, Authentic and Raw. I definitely struggled a little   with   this at times growing up but as I have grown I     have learnt  to love the uniqueness about me.

I want every day people to feel they can relate to me and that they can feel comfortable with me.

I feel what makes me a good health coach is from all my own personal challenges Ive experienced and overcome.

I am very nurturing and will go that extra mile with my clients to make sure they are getting the best out of our sessions together.

 4) What’s your definition of beautiful and how do you think you’ll approach the ageing process?

Wow! What an amazing and hard question all tied into one. I think beauty really shines from within. When you are healthy and happy internally, and truly at peace within yourself it really shows on the outside. You literally glow. So this to me is beautiful. Like one of my favourite quotes by Roald Dahl “If you have good thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely”

As for the aging process –I have never been one to use a lot of make up or skin care products, which I’m very grateful for and in return look a lot younger than I am. I will always take a holistic approach to my health and in return hopefully age gracefully!

5) What gives you the most enjoyment in life?

The ocean! It is like medicine for my soul. I also get so much pleasure from helping other people, spending time with family and friends, and spending alone time in nature….

And I cant hide the fact that I’m an absolute foodie – I get so much out of creating new healthy recipes and taking beautiful photographs for my blog.
